So this is my Lesson 3 painting. The words are actually lyrics from a favourite Sarah McLachlan song. I found myself singing the line about not being a disappointment several days in a row and it seemed so appropriate somehow. I used the brilliant printing on tissue technique that Linda shared on her blog. It worked really well for me. I used lots of scraps of pink and red tissue. paper. I don't have glaze medium or transparent paints so I used acrylics first. I later used some watercolours and water soluble oil pastels for more colour. The fish stamp is one of only a few that I have but I love it. Maybe because I am a Pisces! I thought the painting would turn out to be a blustery day at the beach but this did not happen.
Anyway, it's a start.
Damn it, I wrote a comment and it's disappeared! Anyway, it was just to say that I think this is really great (love those fish - I'm a pisces too!) and I bet if you put it on Suzi's site it'll get featured! SO worth persevering through the tough bits.
